Position Details:
- Role: Medical Technologist (Generalist).
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 5 days/week with rotating weekends.
- Contract Length: Up to 5 years (September 2025 – September 2030).
- Work Location: In person – 215 Perry Hill Road, Montgomery, AL 36109.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform full generalist clinical laboratory testing across Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Blood Bank, Immunology, and Urinalysis (Microbiology preferred).
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments.
- Ensure accurate and timely result reporting with prompt notification of critical values to providers.
- Participate in quality control, calibration, proficiency testing, and full regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field + completion of clinical practice program.
- Minimum 1 year of generalist Medical Technologist experience.
- Active ASCP or AMT Certification (MT, MLS, or CLS) – Required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Current license (Alabama or eligible).
- Ability to pass VA credentialing and OIG exclusion check.
