Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking an experienced Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a 13-week travel assignment at a reputable healthcare facility in Mount Airy, North Carolina.
Position Overview
The Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer performs diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations to evaluate cardiac anatomy, function, blood flow, and abnormalities.
This position requires proficiency in adult echocardiography, Doppler imaging, stress echocardiography, and advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures. The technologist will perform examinations for adult and geriatric patients in inpatient, outpatient, emergency department, and intensive care settings.
The ideal candidate is experienced with portable echocardiography, contrast imaging, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), and cardiac measurements, while maintaining high standards of image quality and patient safety.
Assignment Details:
- Location: Mount Airy, NC.
- Weekly Pay: Up to $2,556.
- Start Date: November 23, 2026.
- Duration: 13 weeks.
- Schedule: Days, 5×8-hour shifts (7:00 AM–4:00 PM).
- Hours: 40 hours per week.
- Setting: Hospital – Cardiac Imaging / Echocardiography.
- Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer experience.
- Previous travel experience required.
- Community hospital experience required.
- ARDMS RDCS (Adult Echocardiography) or CCI RCS credential.
- Meditech charting experience required.
- Experience performing adult 2D and 3D echocardiograms.
- Proficiency in color Doppler, M-mode, and cardiac ultrasound measurements.
- Experience with transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE).
- Experience with treadmill and pharmacologic stress echocardiography.
- Experience performing bubble studies and contrast-enhanced echocardiography.
- Ability to perform portable cardiac ultrasound examinations in ICU and emergency department settings.
- Familiarity with GE and Philips ultrasound equipment.
- Knowledge of infection prevention and isolation precautions.
