Position Summary:
Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking compassionate and experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to join the Community Living Center (CLC) at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
The Community Living Center provides short-stay skilled nursing and rehabilitation services for Veterans recovering from hospitalization, surgery, or acute illness. As a CLC RN, you will provide direct patient care while working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote recovery, rehabilitation, and safe transitions back to the community.

Assignment Details:

- Assignment Dates: August 24, 2026 – May 31, 2027
- Available Shifts: Day, Evening, Night available
- Employment Type: Full-Time Local Contract
- Compensation: $40.00–$45.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
*Candidates must be available to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Community Living Center RN, you will:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring.
- Administer medications and prescribed treatments.
- Provide IV therapy and administer medications through central and peripheral lines.
- Draw laboratory specimens.
- Manage tube feedings.
- Provide Foley catheter care.
- Perform wound care and dressing changes.
- Provide tracheostomy (trach) care.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Complete admissions, discharges, and patient transfers.
- Delegate tasks to nursing assistants and support staff.
- Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Assist with patient transport as needed.
- Respond to medical emergencies.
- Support rehabilitation and recovery goals.
- Coordinate discharge planning.
- Help maintain continuity of patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff meetings.
*RNs assigned to the Community Living Center may be required to float between CLC neighborhoods based on staffing and operational needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Graduate of an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current Ohio RN license or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum two (2) years of direct patient care experience within the last three (3) years.
- Demonstrated competency using Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
- Ability to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
- Ability to complete all required VA credentialing and mandatory training.
