Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to join the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

As an ICU RN, you will provide direct nursing care to critically ill Veterans requiring intensive monitoring, advanced therapies, and life-support interventions. You'll work alongside intensivists, nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, cardiology providers, pulmonologists, and surgical teams in a collaborative critical care environment.

Assignment Details:
  • Position: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse.
  • Facility: Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center.
  • Location: 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, OH 44106.
  • Assignment Dates: August 24, 2026 – May 31, 2027.
  • Employment Type: Full-Time Local Contract.
  • Compensation: $45.00–$50.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Shift: Night Shift for 7:30 PM – 8:00 AM (12-hour shifts).

* Candidates must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and other scheduled shifts as required.

Key Responsibilities:
As an ICU Registered Nurse, you will:
  • Provide continuous assessment and monitoring of critically ill patients.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and critical care treatments.
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms.
  • Provide ventilator and respiratory care support.
  • Manage central lines and other invasive monitoring devices.
  • Respond rapidly to medical emergencies and patient deterioration.
  • Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary critical care team.
  • Document patient care accurately within the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery.
  • Provide post-operative critical care management.
  • Monitor patients with:
    • Acute heart failure.
    • Myocardial infarction (MI).
    • Respiratory failure.
    • Stroke.
    • Gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding.
    • Sepsis.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff meetings.

Experience with the following advanced therapies is preferred:
  • Intra-aortic Balloon Pump (IABP).
  • Impella.
  • Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT).
  • Therapeutic Hypothermia.
  • Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO).
  • Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD).
  • Mechanical Ventilation.
  • High-Flow Oxygen Therapy.

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
  • Graduate of an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current Ohio RN license or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification.
  • Minimum two (2) years of direct patient care experience within the last three (3) years.
