Travel NICU RN – $2,086/Week | Days | Wilmington, NC.

Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Requirements:

Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years – Experience with Level III NICU patients required.

Traveler Experience: NOT REQUIRED.
Professional Skills: Developmental care, patient/family teaching, phlebotomy, thermoregulation, family-centered care, experience working in a private room setting.
Certs: BLS, NRP.
Preferred – Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.

Assignment Details:

IV Therapy: Administration of blood and blood products, arterial line management, central line blood draws, central/implanted line care, PICC lines, starting and maintaining IVs, UAC/UVC management.
Preferred – Insulin administration, gastroschisis/omphalocele management, post-abdominal surgery care.
Preferred – High-frequency ventilation, chest tube management, meconium aspiration, nitric oxide (iNO).
Preferred – Epic documentation experience preferred.
Ratios: 1:2–3.
Float Requirement: Yes – Mother/Baby, Labor, Pediatrics to care for appropriate patients.
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
Patient population includes critically ill neonates requiring Level III NICU care.
Documentation: Epic.
