Travel Registered Nurse – Cardiac Telemetry & Stepdown

Taxable hourly pay up to $57/hour, plus applicable housing and meal stipends for eligible travelers.

We are hiring experienced Registered Nurses for Cardiac Telemetry units in Wilmington and Salisbury, NC. - Cardiac Telemetry RN – Wilmington, NC
- Cardiac Telemetry RN – Salisbury, NC
Assignment Highlights:
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks.
- 12-Hour Days or Nights (varies by assignment).
- FLOATING REQUIRED AS NEEDED; potential to float EVERY SHIFT.
- Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiac telemetry and stepdown patients.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to patient condition changes.
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies according to physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge planning.
- Accurately document patient care using the electronic medical record.
Required Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification required.
- NiH certification.
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Telemetry, Progressive Care (PCU), Stepdown, or Acute Care experience.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience caring for patients with:
- Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS)
- Heart Failure
- Cardiac Arrhythmias
- Post-Cardiac Catheterization
- Post-Pacemaker or ICD Placement
- Experience with continuous telemetry monitoring.
- Familiarity with Epic electronic medical records.
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred but not required.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification is a plus.
- Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and patient assessment skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment.
